Mats Andersson
Vice Chairman
Global Challenges Foundation and Former CEO - AP4
Mats Andersson serves as vice chairman of Global Challenges Foundation and is a non-executive member of the board of PRI, Carneo AB and Nyfosa.pa. He previously held senior management positions at SG Warburgs, Deutsche Bank, AP3 and most recently as CEO at AP4. Andersson also serves as a senior advisor to Rockefeller Foundation, the German Nuclear Decommissioning Fund and has a seat on the evolution committee of the French Green Government Bond. In 2016 Andersson was awarded Chief Investment Officer’s Lifetime Award for his leadership at AP4 and his contribution to international initiatives on sustainable investment strategies on how to mitigate climate change risks as a long-term investor. He also led a Swedish government enquiry on ‘how to promote the green bond market’. Andersson has a degree in economics from the University of Stockholm.
