Roland van den Brink

With over 30 years’ experience in the pensions industry, Roland van den Brink is owner of TrigNum. During his career, he has held both investment related and senior management positions. Van den Brink remains active in the pensions sector internationally by engaging with industry bodies such as European Pensions Circle and the European Pension Fund Investment Forum. Prior to TrigNum, he was a member of the executive board of MN (Mn Services), a Dutch pension fiduciary manager, and was Managing Director of Investments of Metalektro (PME), the Dutch metal and electrical engineering industry pension fund. Van den Brink was Chairman of the shareholders’ meeting of the European Actuarial Academy GmbH (EAA) and the Dutch Council representative of the International Actuarial Association (IAA). He was President of the Dutch Actuarial Society from 2003 until 2007. He holds a bachelor’s in mathematics (cum laude) and physics (cum laude), and graduated in 1982 as a mathematician (cum laude) specialising in chaos theory. He also holds the RBA investment qualification and a master’s in actuarial sciences.
