Robin Ellison is a consultant in Pinsent Masons’ pensions and lifetime savings group, and is founder of a number of companies, including Perspective, the electronic pensions information system, and the London & Colonial insurance group. Ellison is also a commercial mediator and the author of several books and studies including Pensions Law and Practice, Pension Fund Investment Law and Red Tape. He is a visiting professor in Pensions Law and Economics at Cass Business School and a former Chairman of the UK’s National Association of Pension Funds. Ellison is also is a trustee chairman of several pension funds and was chairman of the six largest Carillion pension schemes when Carillion failed in 2018, negotiating with regulators, government, banks and other creditors, and seven other pension schemes in the group.
