Deborah Shire is Head of Structured Finance at AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM), where she has been been responsible for leading the structured finance team since 2014. Shire has held a number of executive roles within the AXA group, especially at AXA IM. Prior to her current role, she was Global Head of Business Development within the real assets team for three years, where she was responsible for corporate finance, investor relations, marketing, communication and business development.
Before that, she worked as Deputy Head of Structured Finance for five years and Head of Structured Finance Engineering for seven years. Shire initially joined AXA IM as Quantitative Portfolio Manager, working for two years alongside the Structured Finance’s founding team. Prior to AXA IM, she worked at the AXA group’s corporate finance and treasury department as a project manager for three years. Shire holds a diploma of financial analyst from the French Society of Financial Analysts (SFAF) and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace.
