Eric Wiegand is Head of Passive Sales Strategy Europe & Asia Pacific at DWS, responsible for Xtrackers & Xmandates sales strategy for Europe & Asia. Wiegand began his career in the Deutsche Bank group after completing his studies in International business management and finance at the Hochschule Harz and University of Wales. He started in the investment banking division of Deutsche Bank as a product manager in the db X-trackers, Deutsche Bank Exchange Traded Funds team, focusing on product development, product analysis and investor education. Later he worked as a product specialist for passive investment solutions in the newly created Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (Deutsche AWM) division with a focus on German institutional clients. He regularly speaks about topics on passive investing and ETFs at public investment seminars, conferences and industry events.
