Based in New York, Larry Zimmerman is Managing Director and Head of Private Debt Origination at Benefit Street Partners (BSP). Prior to joining BSP in 2017, Zimmerman spent eight years at Piper Jaffray & Co where he served as Head of Financial Sponsor Coverage. Prior to that, he spent 19 years at Deutsche Bank and its predecessor Bankers Trust Company where he served as Global Co-Head of industrials and previously worked in the mergers and acquisitions, sponsor coverage and leveraged finance groups. Zimmerman received a master’s of business administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor of arts from Georgetown University.
