Philip Menco is an independent consultant in the Dutch pension sector. From his company Fortunis he assists pension funds with their investment and strategic issues. Menco is member of several investment committees and an advisory board. He also coaches pension fund board members to receive formal supervisory approval. He has a fellowship agreement with the Free University (VU) of Amsterdam and is a voluntary board member at a number of Dutch charities. Until mid-2014, Menco was CEO and CIO of De Eendragt Pensioen. He has worked as head of investment research departments and chief investment strategist at several banks and the Dutch civil service pension fund ABP.
