David Cienfuegos has 17 years of experience in asset management and investment advisory to institutional clients worldwide in various positions held in New York, London, and Madrid. Currently he is Senior Director and Practice Leader as Head of Investment at Willis Towers Watson for the investment business in Spain. Cienfuegos is also Chairman of the CAIA Iberia Chapter, and adjunct professor of finance at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). Cienfuegos was previously Partner and Head of Investments at Frontier Investment Management, a London-based investment management firm specialised in alternative investments. He also served as chair of the investment committee. Prior to Frontier, he was Senior Analyst at Bassini Playfair Wright, a New York-based hedge fund and private equity house. Cienfuegos holds an MBA from Pace University, Lubin Graduate School of Business in New York, a postgraduate degree in Financial Engineering from University of London’s Birkbeck School of Economics, Mathematics & Statistics, and a BSc in Finance from University of Oviedo. He also completed an executive education programme at Harvard Business School and is a CAIA® charter holder.
