Steve Kelly is a special adviser at Euro IRP, the European Association of Independent Research Providers, which represents the interests of independent investment research firms based in Europe or which have clients or activities in Europe. From 1999 to 2016, he was Head of the Extel Survey, building the business into a flagship brand and valued sponsorship for Thomson Reuters. Kelly left Extel in 2016 and became an independent research and communications professional, specialising in the investment industry. Previously, from 1995 to 1999, he was Director Corporate Communications with Primark Corporation and has worked at Datastream, Philips Electronics and British Airways. He has master of arts in modern history from Oxford University and is the author of several publications on investor relations for Thomson Financial Publishing.
