Vanessa Morphet is Head of Social Impact at Church of England. She leads the Social Impact Investment programme, which was established within The Archbishops’ Council with a £25m capital allocation to make high impact, mission aligned investments in the UK with the goals of addressing housing need for the vulnerable, enabling local communities to thrive and accelerating climate justice. She previously led on social impact investing policy at the Government Inclusive Economy Unit and has a background in financial services where she worked at Goldman Sachs, Arma Partners and Wellington Management, and in venture philanthropy, where she was an Investment Director at Impetus.
