Wim Van Hyfte, PhD, has been Global Head of Responsible Investments & Research at Candriam Investors Group since 2016, responsible for researching and integrating ESG in portfolio and risk management across assets. Previously, he was senior fund manager-quantitative analyst at Candriam for nearly 10 years. He joined Candriam in 2006. Since 2012, he has also been Visiting Professor at ULB Solvay School of Economics and Management teaching asset pricing. From 2006 until 2012, he was Visiting Professor at Vlerick Business School teaching portfolio management. From 2000 until 2001, he was a strategic pensions and venture capital consultant. Van Hyfte holds a PhD in financial economics, an MBA in finance and a master’s in applied economics. His academic research covers both empirical and corporate finance, focusing on asset pricing, risk modelling and portfolio management.
