Ajit Dayal has over 30 years of experience in investment management and equity research. In addition to founding Quantum Advisors in 1990 as India’s first institutional equity research house - which pioneered value investing in India with a strong focus on governance practices - he has worked with leading US and UK financial advisory and asset management firms either as a key member of the executive management team or as a joint venture partner or affiliate. Dayal served as the deputy CIO at the US firm Hansberger Global Investors and as the lead manager for the Vanguard International Value Fund and has nurtured a team of analysts over the last three years to provide investors with portfolio solutions encompassing a comprehensive ESG framework for investing in India. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Bombay University in 1981 and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1983.
