Homer Sun is Chief Investment Officer of Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia (MSPEA), a managing director of Morgan Stanley and co-head of MSPEA’s China investment operations. He also serves on the firm’s China management committee, which comprises the firm’s senior business leaders within China. Sun has spent over 18 years at Morgan Stanley in Asia. His board directorships have included: Sihuan Pharmaceutical, Renfang Medical, Noah Education, Shanshui Cement, Tianhe Chemicals, China XD Plastics and Nature Home. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he was a mergers and acquisitions lawyer with the law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York and Hong Kong. Sun received a BSE magna cum laude in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan and a JD cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School.
