Arnaldur Loftsson is the Managing Director of Frjálsi Pension Fund. He has held that position for the past 22 years. He has worked in the Icelandic pension industry for 28 years. In 2014, he was appointed to a committee established by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs to develop legislative proposals enabling pension fund members to use voluntary private pension savings to reduce mortgage debt and support home purchases. From 2015 to 2024, he served on the Board of the Icelandic Pension Funds Association (IPFA) and participated in several of its specialist committees. He holds a degree in Business Communication from the Florida Institute of Technology.
