Jon Rahbek-Clemmensen 

Associate professor, Section Head Royal Danish Defence College

Jon Rahbek-Clemmensen is an Associate Professor at the Institute for Strategy and War Studies at the Royal Danish Defence College, where he is affiliated with the Center for Arctic Security Studies. He also heads the Section for Strategy and Great Power Competition. His research focuses on diplomacy, security, and defence in the Arctic and North Atlantic, transatlantic relations, and theories about small states and substate political entities in international security policy. He is a frequent contributor to policy development processes and has given talks or testimonies, both written and oral, in the United States Congress (staff level), the British House of Commons, the Danish Parliament, and the Danish Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Defence Command. He has contributed to stories in most Danish media and many major international outlets, including New York Times, Washington Post, The Economist, BBC, The Guardian, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Le Figaro, NPR, and Al-Jazeera. He has held visiting positions at CSIS and Columbia University. He holds a PhD in International Relations from the LSE.
