Dr Charles Donovan is the Director of the Centre for Climate Finance and Investment at Imperial College Business School and a Principle Teaching Fellow in the Department of Management. In his corporate career, Donovan was most recently Head of Structuring and Valuation for Alternative Energy at BP plc. He was part of the strategy team that launched BP's alternative energy division in 2005. Donovan began his career as an Energy Policy Analyst with the US Environmental Protection Agency and subsequently worked in principal investments at the Enron Corporation. He holds a bachelor degree in psychology from the University of Washington, graduated with honors from the MBA program at Vanderbilt University, and completed his doctorate at IE Business School. Donovan is the editor and co-author of Renewable Energy Finance: Powering the Future, published by Imperial College Press in 2015.
