Philip Meier is a portfolio manager with responsibility for helping to develop Legal & General Investment Management’s emerging markets capabilities within its multi-strategy fixed income team. Meier joined LGIM in 2014 from AXA Investment Managers where he was a senior portfolio manager in emerging markets fixed income, where he was lead manager on an emerging markets debt total-return strategy and co-manager of the flagship emerging markets short duration fund. Prior to that, Meier was at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management where he started as portfolio manager in the European credit team before moving into the emerging markets credit team, where he was co-manager of the flagship global emerging markets credit fund and lead manager of the Asian high yield credit and China bond funds. He graduated from European Business School (EBS) in Germany and holds a master’s in business administration.
