With over 13 years in finance, Dr Philippe Vannerem has worked as a portfolio manager in fixed income at Quoniam in London since 2014. He was previously at Barclays Capital in London, responsible for leading sales and research for index, portfolio and risk solution products for the German market. Prior to that, he led the EMEA quant team at MSCI Barra in Geneva, with responsibility for new product development and applied research initiatives. Vannerem began his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co in Switzerland. He has an MSc in physics from the University of Ghent, a PhD in particle physics from the University of Freiburg and was a postdoctoral research fellow at CERN.
