Jaap Hoek is director of investment strategy & solutions for northern Europe at Russell Investments. Based in Amsterdam, he is responsible for working with fiduciary management clients to design and implement investment solutions. Hoek joined Russell Investments in 2020 from Robeco where he was responsible for strategic advice to fiduciary clients. Prior to that, he worked in financial institutions sales at Rabobank from 2011 to 2012. From 2001 to 2011 Hoek was a portfolio manager at Robeco. He held several positions. He started as a portfolio manager for fixed income portfolios, being responsible for liability driven investments and central bank mandates. Next, he worked in the multi-asset team focusing on pension fund clients. Hoek started his career as a quantitative researcher at IRIS in 1996.
