Antoine Vallier
Biodiversity Footprint Expert, CDC Biodiversité
Antoine Vallier graduated in 2004 from French engineering school Ecole Centrale de Lyon with a major in applied mathematics. He worked 10 years in investment banking as a trader in equity derivatives, mostly in Japan. In 2014 he went back to university in France to follow a 2-year master’s degree in ecology and ecosystems’ restoration. Leveraging on his background at the crossroads of engineering sciences, ecology and finance, Vallier joined CDC Biodiversité in 2016 to launch the Global Biodiversity Score project. This innovative footprinting methodology aims to provide operational solutions at a global level to companies and investors to understand, measure, report and reduce their impacts on biodiversity.
