Amlan Roy is a Partner at LCP and a Research Associate of LSE’s Financial Markets Group and Systemic Risk Centre. He is a Macro-Finance Researcher, Author & keynote speaker specialising in Global Macroeconomics & Demographics. His book “Demographics Unravelled” by Wiley Jan 2022 was mentioned by the FT as “one of the best new books in Economics” and “a must read” by Bloomberg Business Leaders 2023. He is also Ambassador for SFF (Singapore FinTech Festival) and GWAI (Global Women in AI). He is an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. He was previously Head of Global Macro Research and Senior Managing Director at State Street Global Advisors. He was an Managing Director and Head of Global Demographic & Pensions Research with Credit Suisse Investment Bank. He had a distinguished teaching career at universities in UK and US. He was UK ESRC Research Fellow, Ponders Fellow, a Boston University Doctoral Scholar and a Government of India National Scholar. He has a PhD and MA from the University of Iowa, an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a BA Honours Economics degree from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi.
