Lyes Arezki
Portfolio Manager, UMR  ,

Lyes Arezki is a Portfolio Manager at UMR, where he oversees the private debt portfolio across both fund investments and direct lending. He played a central role in building UMR’s first direct financing strategy, leading sourcing, underwriting and execution of transactions and contributing to the institution’s strategic shift towards more active private markets exposure. He also participates in strategic asset allocation discussions, multi-asset investment committees and M&A project assessments at group level, notably in the insurance and wealth management sectors. Following an early internship in buy-side equity analysis at Portzamparc BNP Paribas Group, Arezki joined MAIF as a Financial Analyst and Fund Selector, contributing to the selection and monitoring of listed funds and supporting investment committee decisions. He later joined Portzamparc as a Buy-Side Equity Analyst, focusing on fundamental research, financial modelling and engagement with European listed companies. This combined analytical and institutional background now informs his approach to private markets, where he blends bottom-up conviction with disciplined risk assessment. He is also a lecturer in finance at the IAE School of Management of Caen, where he teaches financial analysis and valuation to Master-level students. He is a member of the AIF Global Future Leaders programme and the founder of SILT, a forum dedicated to long-term institutional investors. His work focuses on bridging institutional capital with innovative private markets solutions and promoting responsible long-term investment practices.
