Judith Steenbeek

Onno Steenbeek is Managing Director of Strategic Portfolio Advice at APG Asset Management. He leads the department responsible for ALM and SAA advisory, investment and pension innovation, and the quantitative models that support strategic decisions for associated pension funds with approx 600€bn AuM. His team also plays a central role in the implementation of the new Dutch pension contract within APG. Steenbeek is affiliated with Erasmus School of Economics in Rotterdam, where he teaches Institutional Asset Management and conducts research on current pension issues. He is a member of the investment committee of the Unilever pension fund, chairman of the investment committee of the Volkskracht charity foundation and serves on the Occupational Pensions Stakeholder Group OPSG of EIOPA in Frankfurt. In 2024, he spent three months with the World Bank Treasury in Washington, DC, jointly developing guidance on domestic investment strategies for pension funds in low- and middle-income countries.
