Andreas Broegger

Andreas Brøgger is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. A Copenhagen Business School Finance PhD, he teaches Sustainable Finance and conducts research in Asset Pricing, Asset Management, and Sustainable Finance. He previously held visiting research positions at the University of Pennsylvania, the Wharton School and at University of Luxembourg. His award-winning work has been presented at leading international conferences such as AFA, EFA, AEA and EEA. His recent work focuses first on how the emergence of sustainable finance has changed what skills investment managers are being compensated for, in terms of value added and alpha, and second that noisiness in current ESG ratings is holding sustainable finance back from having a real impact. Finally, he proposes a solution to the sustainable finance ineffectiveness in the form of a new traded asset: Emission Futures.
