Jaime Martínez is Global Head of Asset Allocation at BBVA Asset Management. He has 30 years of experience in Portfolio Management and has been at BBVA Asset Management since 2015, and is responsible for the management of around 60BN€ of AuM. The team is composed of four different units, the Institutional Asset Allocation Team, the Multi-asset Allocation Team, Investment Solutions and the Private Banking Asset Allocation. He was previously Chief Investment Officer at Fonditel from 2009 to 2015 and was responsible for the management of Telefonica's and other corporate pension schemes. His career developed in the asset management industry in other companies like Invercaixa or Merrill Lynch. He has been Professor at the Instituto de Empresa, frequent lecturer at several Business schools. He was Head of Asset Allocation at Santander Asset Management, having started his role in Santander Group in 2000 as Portfolio Manager for HNWI. He holds a degree as Licenciado in Business and Economics from ICADE University in Madrid. He is a CFA Institute Charterholder.
