Christoph Gort

Christoph Gort is Managing Partner at SIGLO Capital Advisors AG, a Zurich-based investment advisor specialised on alternative investments for institutional investors such as pension funds in Switzerland. SIGLO has recently been acquired by Cambridge Associates. Gort serves as the Portfolio Manager on several institutional mandates of SIGLO in Switzerland. He began his career in 2003 at the City of Zurich Pension Fund. As a member of the Investment Team, he oversaw investments in foreign currencies, commodities, hedge funds and active equity strategies, among others. In 2008, he joined Harcourt Investment Consulting AG as a fund of hedge funds analyst, where he became Head of Fund of funds research in 2010. In this role, he advised Swiss pension funds and private banks on fund of hedge funds investments. After studying economics in Berne, he completed his doctorate with a specialisation in behavioural finance at the University of Zurich in 2007. He has published academic papers, articles and presentations in the areas of overconfidence, active management, alternative investments and pension funds.
