Laurent Clavel

Laurent Clavel is Global Head of Multi-Asset at AXA Investment Managers. He was appointed in September 2022. He is also responsible for managing the flagship funds. He spent three years at the French Embassy in Stockholm, where he covered the Nordic economies as financial advisor to the French Treasury. He also worked for the French Ministry for the Budget and the French Statistical Institute. He was named Head of the Quant Lab in 2019, focusing on quantitative research, portfolio engineering, product engineering and structuring and held the position of Head of Research at AXA IM. Clavel joined AXA IM in 2015 as International Economist, before becoming Head of Macroeconomic Research. He worked for two years at the French Statistical Institute (INSEE) as the Head of the Forecasting Unit. He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and holds an MSc in Economics from the Paris School of Economics, Statistics and Finance (ENSAE Paris Tech).
