Ric van Weelden

Ric van Weelden is Acting Chair at Diversity Project Europe (DPE), a new initiative promoting DE&I in European asset management sponsored by eight founding members including Nordea AM, Aegon AM, Quoniam AM, Pictet AM, AXA IM, HSBC AM, Franklin Templeton and T Rowe Price. The DPE is directly linked to the Diversity Project in the UK, an initiative launched seven years ago which has grown into the most significant initiative with over 100 member organisation, promoting DE&I in UK asset management. He is also partner at INDEFI, a Paris and New York based strategy consultancy focusing on organic and non-organic business strategy for the asset management industry. He runs separate pitch book upgrade and rewrite, redesign projects and sits on the board of several charitable foundations. He was previously a board member at Candriam Investors Group; Chief Executive Officer of Janus Capital International; a partner at Willis Towers Watson; and general manager of Commerzbank’s asset management subsidiary in New York. He is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and INSEAD and is also a Certified European Financial Analyst.
