Klaus Schmid

Klaus Schmid is Director, Head of Acquisitions at Franklin Real Asset Advisors. He joined Franklin Real Asset Advisors in September 2021. Schmid leads the acquisitions team in sourcing, underwriting and executing new transactions. He has in excess of 20 years of private equity real estate experience transacting more than 5€bn in most European markets. He started his career in the real estate private equity group at Lehman Brothers in London in 2001. He has held several senior roles including, Director and senior member of the transaction team at Marathon Asset Management and a Senior Vice President at Heitman Europe. He most recently served as Head of Real Estate Investments at Roundhill Capital Europe. He holds a CEMS master’s and a master’s degree with a major in finance from WU Wien.
