Paula Garrido has over 22 years of experience in financial journalism and communications. She started her career in journalism in 1999 with Investment & Pensions Europe (IPE). In 2004, she moved to the Financial Times group, working as deputy editor for both Professional Wealth Management (PWM) and FT Mandate. In 2007, she was recruited by F&C Investments – now BMO Global Asset Management – to lead communications for the firm’s institutional business. Five years later, she joined pioneer impact investor Bridges Fund Management as head of communications. Garrido now works as a freelance contributor and consultant with regular contributions to IPE. She has a degree in Contemporary History from the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and a PGDip in International Journalism Studies by the University of the Arts London.
