Bjarne Graven Larsen
Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Qblue Balanced

Bjarne Graven Larsen is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Qblue Balanced and a pension fund and financial sector veteran, with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. He is the former Chief Investment Officer and executive board member of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP), one of the world’s largest pension plans headquartered in Toronto, Canada. From 1999 to 2011, Graven Larsen was the Chief Investment Officer and executive board member of ATP, Denmark’s largest and Europe’s fourth largest pension fund and a global pioneer in sustainability integration. Prior to joining OTPP, he was the Chair of the investment committee at Europe’s leading renewable infrastructure fund, CIP and held the position of CFO at Novo and before that CEO of FIH Erhvervsbank. Graven Larsen has also held positions at Realkredit Denmark, the country’s largest mortgage bank, in Denmark’s Central Bank and in the Ministry of Finance. After returning from Toronto in 2018, he founded the Copenhagen based asset management company, Qblue Balanced.
