Based in Zurich, Elisabeth Bourqui has been Head of Group Pensions Management at ABB since 2012, overseeing the management of the pensions assets and liabilities of the various group pension funds globally as well as their governance and policy development. Previously, Bourqui held various risk management and front office positions, including at Credit Suisse Group in Switzerland and Société Générale in New York and Montreal as well as at consulting firm Mercer, also in Montreal. At Mercer, she headed the large public funds and sovereign wealth funds specialised practice. Bourqui is a member of the Swiss Society of Actuaries, and sits on the board of directors of the stock exchange listed companies Swiss Prime Site and Bank Vontobel Holding. She received her PhD in mathematics from ETH Zurich.
