Rik Klerkx

Rik Klerkx is Chief Investment Officer Netherlands at Cardano. He joined the team in 2015 to help build the portfolio management team. Klerkx is currently responsible for the development and implementation of investment strategies for more than 20 institutional clients and manages circa EUR 15bln of assets, mainly in LDI, fixed income and derivatives.
He started his career in 2005 at JP Morgan’s fixed income division in London where he left as Vice President. Klerkx was a portfolio manager of the reserve assets at the Dutch central bank and worked at Nationale Nederlanden Group’s treasury. He holds a master’s degree in Quantitative Finance from Erasmus University Rotterdam, he is CFA charter holder and a PhD candidate at VU Amsterdam.
