Esther Law is Senior Portfolio Manager, Emerging Markets at Amundi Asset Management. Law joined Amundi Asset Management in 2014 and has a focus on Emerging Markets Sovereign debt. She co-manages Amundi’s Emerging Markets Blended and Local Currency funds. Law has been increasingly focused on the topics of engagement and green investing within her expertise. She represents Amundi in the Advisory Group for the Assessing Sovereign Climate-related Opportunities and Risk (ASCOR) Project. Law began her career at HSBC in 1998 as a Fixed Income Trader focusing on Asian bond markets, before moving to HSBC Global Fixed Income strategy in 2002. Law was the co-manager of the Emerging Markets Local currency Bond fund at Pioneer Investments. She has also held the position of Director in Emerging Markets Strategy for Société Générale and a Senior EM Strategist for the Royal Bank of Scotland. Law was awarded the Fund Manager of the Year 2019 by Women in Finance London and ranked 2nd in The Most Astute Investors in Asian local currency 2020 (UK/EU/AUS category) by The Asset. Law holds an MSc in Mathematical Trading and Finance from CASS Business School of City University of London and a BSc degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
